Ceramic Windshield Film 80%

The film is designed for windshield use, where maximum visibility is required, and its 80% visible light transmission provides a near-transparent appearance that meets the needs of high-clarity installations. This ceramic windshield film made with inorganic nano-ceramic material and new-generation technology. Its combination of titanium nitride and optical-grade polyester reduces interior reflections at night and prevents the low-angle daytime haze seen in traditional films.

80% Windshield Ceramic Film for Maximum Visibility
Benefit: This 80% windshield ceramic tint is built for drivers who want heat and UV control without a dark windshield look. The film stays almost transparent, preserves night visibility, and keeps the cabin more comfortable by reducing infrared heat through the largest glass area of the vehicle. Its ceramic, non-metalized construction supports a clean optical view with low haze and avoids interference with GPS, toll tags, phones, and other in-car electronics. For installers, the film is intended for predictable shrink, clean edge finish, and stable clarity on large curved windshield glass.

Stretch Without Distortion or Burn Marks
| Specification | Required | Verified |
|---|---|---|
| Elongation at break (PPF): | ≥300% | 378.5% |
| Tensile strength: | ≥15 MPa | 27.2 MPa |
| 100% modulus: | 6 MPa | 6.8 MPa |
| Top-coat elongation: | ≥80% | 170% |
Benefit: The film conforms cleanly around compound curves, recessed panels, mirrors, and tight radii while holding uniform thickness and clarity. With correct heat it stretches well beyond spec, giving installers room to work without fighting the material. This won't happen: You won't see whitening, stress lines, or localized haze after wrapping bumpers, mirrors, or tight edges.
High Slip, High Control — Fights You Less
| Specification | Required | Verified |
|---|---|---|
| Acrylic adhesive peel force at 20 min: | >600 gf/in | 1,892 gf/in |
| Acrylic adhesive peel force at 24 hr | >1,000 gf/in | 2,266 gf/in |
Benefit: A wide, forgiving working window during install that cures into a strong, permanent bond. Repositioning stays predictable — no sudden grab, no premature lock-down.This won't happen: You won't be forced to commit early, wrestle locked sections, or leave adhesive trails when lifting and resetting a panel.

A Glossy Finish That Reads as Premium
| Specification | Required | Verified |
|---|---|---|
| Surface gloss: | ≥93 GU | 95.6 GU |
Benefit: A wet, mirror-like shine that deepens the paint instead of dulling it — consistent across flat and worked sections of the panel. This won't happen: You won't end up with a flat, hazy "plastic-wrap" look, or panels that shine on the flats but go dull where the film was stretched.
Real Hydrophobicity and Stain Resistance
| Specification | Verified |
|---|---|
| Hydrophobic surface: | (water beads and sheets off) |
| Surface permeability resistance: marker ink wiped after a 10-second alcohol wipe | slight/no trace |
Benefit: The surface actively repels water, road grime, and contaminants, so the car stays cleaner between washes and resists staining during curing and delivery. This won't happen: You won't see water trapping grime, ink or bug residue etching in, or the finish looking tired soon after install.

Self-Healing — With No Heat Required
| Specification | Verified |
|---|---|
| Self-healing without heat: 10 passes of a 1 kg brass brush | self-heals in 30 seconds at room temperature |
Benefit: Light installation marks, wash marring, and minor swirls reset on their own — no heat gun, no sun, no waiting. The panel recovers right in front of the customer. This won't happen: You won't be stuck explaining permanent squeegee lines, towel marks, or light brush damage — and you won't depend on a hot day to make a repair disappear.
Built to Take a Hit — Tear & Puncture Resistance
| Specification | Required | Verified |
|---|---|---|
| Tear strength: | ≥40 KN/m | 86.6 KN/m |
| Tensile strength: | ≥15 MPa | 27.2 MPa |
Benefit: The surface actively repels water, road grime, and contaminants, so the car stays cleaner between washes and resists staining during curing and delivery. This won't happen: You won't see water trapping grime, ink or bug residue etching in, or the finish looking tired soon after install.

Car Tints and PPF F.A.Q.
Q. Can I mix different VLT on one vehicle?
Yes. You can use ceramic window tint and ceramic window tint by zones. Check local rules for VLT limits before install.
Q. Are the rolls compatible with plotter cutters?
Yes. Standard widths like 24 inch tint roll and 36 inch tint roll work with common plotters. A 60 inch master roll is used for larger panels.
Q. What does ceramic window tint add versus carbon?
Ceramic often provides higher heat control at the same VLT and a cleaner view on lighter shades. Ceramic offers a lower roll cost.
Q. Is window tint film suitable for a windshield visor strip?
Yes, shops often use a lighter VLT for the top strip. Confirm what is allowed in your state or region.
Q. How do I care for PPF after installation?
Paint protection film with a hydrophobic top coat washes easily. Use mild soaps and non-abrasive materials. Avoid harsh compounds.
Q. Where does PPF make the biggest difference?
On high-impact zones: front bumper, hood edge, front fenders, rocker panels, and door edges. This helps with rock chip protection.
Q. Are the films compatible with standard install solutions?
Yes. Window tint film works with typical slip solutions or install gels. Follow the product guidance on mix ratios and surface prep.
Q. Who handles distribution and reorders?
Distribution is handled by AK Dealer Services. Specify widths and VLT when ordering to speed up processing.
